Chatting With Kids About Being Online: A Resource for Parents

by Annette Burns on November 13, 2012

Finally, after searching for awhile, I found a good online guide with information for parents about their kids’ internet use, and how to talk to kids about internet use.   Net Cetera:  Chatting With Kids About Being Online is 56 pages long, but very comprehensive and easy to read.   It has separate sections for online use by kids of different ages, cyberbullying, cell phone use, sexting, parental controls, sending photos online, and more.

I’ve just ordered some hard copies of the brochure (they’re free as it’s a federal government pamphlet available here)  to have available for clients and parenting coordination cases, and it’s a great resource.
