- ABA Standards of Practice for Lawyers Representing Children in Custody Cases
- These standards for representation of children (as either Best Interests Attorney or attorney for the child) were adopted by the ABA in 2003 and are referenced in the Committee Comment to Rule 10, Arizona Rules of Family Law Procedure. These Standards are also cited with approval by the Arizona Supreme Court in Aksamit v. Krahn as a source of guidance and suggestions for Arizona attorneys appointed as BIAs or attorney for a child.

- Arizona Rules of Family Law Procedure
