I had one Madoff account divided in a divorce I handled in 2008. One party was awarded 100% of that account. In December 2008, I was asked what the chances were of that property division being overturned as the result of the Madoff fraud (i.e., the awarded account was now worthless). My answer at that time was that there was no chance of the property award being overturned. Turns out that’s now been tested, and I was right. Madoff Funds Can’t Be Recovered
